A resiliency intervention program designed to strengthen disaster preparedness among community members. Trainings which targeted schools and families focused on discussions about climate change, basic emergency response and preparedness, along with the distribution of Go Bags that contain essential supplies.

PAKILigtas started in 2022 when more than 100 families and over 500 individuals were affected by flooding caused by a typhoon. The program was initiated in partnership with the Pakil chapter of Philippine Red Cross and the Pakil Emergency Response Team.

Since then, the program has evolved from barangay-based to school-based and finally to family-centered trainings, effectively equipping the community to be better prepared for emergencies and disasters.

Enterprise Development Program

The foundation partnered with major people’s organizations in Sitio Wawa, Barangay San Rafael and the Rizal provincial government to provide seed funding and technical assistance aimed at developing economically viable livelihoods for local residents.

The alternative livelihood programs include the wholesale and distribution of exclusive upland crops, seedling production, transport services, and ecotourism.

Integrated Forest Protection Program

Since 2024, the foundation has provided support for the program in training and deployment of forest patrol teams or Lawin Patrollers, of which 80 percent is composed of individuals who are members of the Dumagat-Remontado indigenous peoples (IP) community.

Aside from promoting skills development for forest patrollers, the program is a vital component of Prime Infra’s efforts in integrated forest management. The efforts are implemented in various functions such as regular patrolling of forest areas, data management using tools in forest and biodiversity protection, reporting using data on forest conditions including threats from human activities and wildlife.

Partnerships with the IP community

Prime Infra honors the cultural heritage and traditions of the Indigenous Peoples (IP) community through programs aimed at improving their social mobility. One of our milestone projects is providing a permanent water system for an Aeta community in Porac, Pampanga, which improved their access to clean water and offers them a better resource for hygiene and sanitation.

Programs for the IP groups are implemented across the social initiatives in education, sustainable livelihood, and community engagement, promoting inclusive and grassroots participation in community-building. Aside from the Aeta community in Pampanga, the Foundation has also forged partnerships with the Dumagat-Remontado community of Antipolo and Rodriguez (formerly Montalban) in Rizal.

Feeding Program

The feeding program is designed to enhance students’ nutrition and improve their educational outcomes by providing meals to school-age learners which yield significant benefits, including alleviating hunger, reducing micronutrient deficiencies and anemia, and boosting physical resilience.

The foundation believes that such an intervention contributes to higher school enrollment, improved attendance, and enhanced cognitive and academic performance among students.

The program has been implemented in public schools in Pakil such as the Saray Elementary School and Cornelio Dalena Elementary School. The program also provided training for mothers in preparing meals with nutritious food.
